Car Parking ? Here you do !

So, you want to have a park !
no, no car park ?

*How and where you park can make a difference between a dented car and well-kept one.
*It can make a difference between heading to an important meeting in a car strewn with leaves and      bird droppings or a nice shiny one.
*Where and how you park is also a safety concern for others and yourself. Here’s how to do it right  while caring for your car.

Be considerate to other road users and pedestrians
When parking your car, the first thing you should check is whether it is safe and legal to park there. Check for no standing zones, no parking zones and day specific zones as parking in places where one is not allowed may lead to your car getting towed. Do not park too close to a gate, intersection, bus stop, fire hydrant, post box or taxi and rickshaw stands. One must also never park too close to another car at the risk of getting boxed in.
Parking under trees
Parking under a tree may seem sensible as it prevents your car from getting too hot in the summers, but stray objects like branches or coconuts might damage your car. Also, bird droppings can completely ruin your paint if not wiped clean soon. Some migratory birds like storks have acidic droppings that burn through your clear coat and into your paint leaving permanent damage. Check where you park and if possible never under a tree. In the monsoon, heavy winds and rain can also cause trees to fall resulting in complete destruction of your car.
How to apply the handbrake
Applying the handbrake is crucial although the correct procedure is very important. Many drivers simply throw the car into gear (or Park in an automatic) and rip the handbrake on. In this case, it is the transmission that usually takes up most of the load and not the handbrake.
Whenever you are parking a car, especially on a hill, park and stop safely. At this point your standard foot brake should be holding the car stationary, select neutral no matter whether the car has an automatic or manual transmission and then pull on the handbrake. The correct way to apply the handbrake is to push the button in as you are pulling it on. Avoid the clicking sound that comes due to not pressing the button. Once the handbrake is on, pull again firmly to hear one click and let your foot slowly off the foot brake. Now the parking brake holds the car’s weight. The driver can not select 1st gear in a manual or Park mode in an automatic for added security. On a hill, always put the car in gear.
Always remember to choose a space with a wall on one side or at the end of a cue of parked cars so as to minimize the chances of your car getting damaged. Also, always remember to park your car only inside a designated spot if parking in a parking lot so as not to inconvenience other users.

Follow the rules for Good Sleep

To Sleep Well - 7 important things to remember
Avoid taking Sleeping Pills - Natural Sleep is the best.
"Sleeping pills" should be taken only for a limited period, and only when you have been diagnosed with a sleep cycle affecting disorder by a Doctor.
Control on your Caffeine (Coffee/tea) Intake -
Significant amount of your caffeine intakes stays active in your system for more than 12hrs after consumption. You can do the maths, you should avoid coffee - tea after 12pm.
Caffeine disrupts the quality of your sleep, and naturally when you wake up, your inclined to grab a cup of coffee, which very quickly creates a vicious cycle.
Avoid Blue Light at Night
Most people don't even realize it impacts their sleep. Short-wavelength blue light plays an important role in your mood, energy level, and sleep quality.
The laptops, tablets, televisions, and mobile phones—emit short-wavelength blue light. And in the case of your laptop, tablet, and phone, they do so brightly and right in your face. This interferes with your ability to fall asleep as well as with the quality of your sleep once you do nod off.
Maintain Consistency
a. Wake Up at the Same Time Every Day
b. Have a fixed diet schedule, don't over-eat or binge
c. Have a control on your smoking - avoid at least 3hrs before sleep

Avoid using Alcohol as a way to fall asleep - it plays havoc with your mood, sleep and thought process - leading to depression, sleep disruption and thought disorders.
No Binge Sleeping (In) on the Weekend
Sleeping in on the weekend is a counter-productive way to catch up on your sleep. It messes with your circadian rhythm by giving you an inconsistent wake-up time.
 Meditate
it definetly help by reducing the stress and increase the peacefulness
6-week of meditation help cut the average time to fall asleep by at least half.

STEPS TO IGNITE POSITIVE ENERGY TO OVERCOME THE PAST HURT

You try endlessly to radiate positive energy and create a small world of joy for yourself and those around you. But as much as you’re an advocate for these jovial actions, you sometimes find yourself fall back into a gloomy attitude that is caused by those who have hurt you. It destroys you to remember these times, but without addressing it, it will continue to sit in the back of your head just lurking there. You need ways to establish your happiness again, happiness that is unconditional more constantly.
* Never be ashamed of your tears. Let past be cleared through sorrow and tears which would pave way for fresh start. Getting hurt is natural. You tried your best.

* Forgive yourself first. Just as difficult as it could be to forgive those who destroy our happiness, find the energy to forgive yourself.
*Take steps to change yourself. It's always better to improve yourself rather than expecting from others. We can suggest others once, if its feels right.
*Start slowly by praying for those who hurt you. Humility gives us power. Forgive them for your own peace of mind.
*Create a healthy boundary that empowers positive energy. Without boundaries you are leaving the door to your home unlocked; anyone, including unwelcome guests, can enter at will. But conversely, if you have a strict boundary, you can also become isolated. Understand the importance in setting these limits. You protect your self-esteem, maintain self-respect, and enjoy wanted healthy relationships.
* Don’t take it too personally and seriously. You’ll always have tomorrow. Turn around and remove yourself from the negative frequencies that prohibit positive energy from entering your life.
Reconnect with the old ‘you’. It’s not easy to release a painful identity, especially if you’ve carried it around with you for a long time. It helps to remember who you were before that experience or to consider who you might have become if it hadn’t have happened
*Accept it. Acceptance gives us strength to look forward.
Build resilience (triumph through rejection). You can follow these steps-
- Build positive beliefs in yourself.
- Strengthen your social network.
- Find a sense of purpose in your life.

*Make some effort to re-kindle your lost connection (if you think its worth it.) Learn from the painful experience.
* Be grateful for all good things that happened inspite of the hurtful situation. Above all, you are alive and can move forward. Enjoy that.
* Never hold a grudge as it weakens you. Begin the process of forgiveness.
*Know who is at fault, and why. Assess the situation when this person hurt you. If it was your fault, ask to be forgiven, if it was theirs, forgive.
Thanks Mr.Hemant

Keep Cool and explain When it happens !!!

What happens when an Indian Parent comes to know that their teenage (15-20yr) kid is in "love" or "dating" someone??
All hell breaks loose.!!!
There is a lot of drama - anger, blame game, guilt... a tug of war between parents which cascades out onto the child.
And if the child in question is the daughter of the house, the reaction is a thousand times higher.
Sadly modern day "Teenagers" have a very short patience span and very high anger quotient. They find it difficult to take the anger of the parents, and may land up committing stupid acts.
here are 10 tips that can help you face such a situation -
 Keep Calm -
1. When you hear such a news, try not to react. Keep your mouth closed. Take a deep breath, and let the initial wave of anger pass away.
2. When you talk, stay as calm as possible.
Even if your inner-self wants to scream.. remember its your child.

Don't blame
Rather than blaming and guilt finding Try to understanding the child's feelings. In 99% probability he/she has an infatuation which they call "love". Take time to understand them.

Ask and understand their feelings
Start by asking them how it happened and what feelings he/she has.
5. Find out if the other childs parents know about this.

Explain about relationship
6. Don't put the blame on anyone or make anyone the enemy. Making him/her the enemy could cause a rift that becomes impossible to reconcile.

7. Help her understand that he/she is very young and don't have the experience of handling a tough decision like being in a "relationship".
Don't dump your views
8. Don’t force your views, but be very open to talk about sex and sexual experimentation. A open talk at this stage and save a lot of troubles later.
9. If after your talk he/she decides to remain in the relationship, then you need to ask them the plan. Its also important to be careful about their movements as in the spurt of the moment they might end up doing something stupid.
Standing along your child gives you chance of being a buffer in case of a break-up.
If you need help
10. Don't Talk to the entire world about this issue, and if its giving you a lot of stress.. talk to a confidant or a counsellor.

Recurrent cough and cold in children are signs of asthma

Children with recurrent cough, cold and wheeze should visit their physician as these are clear symptoms that the child may be suffering from asthma, a medical expert said here Tuesday.

He said that in many of the cases the asthma symptoms improve with age as the wind pipe of children grows till the age of five years, a development that makes the asthma symptoms recede.

"However, if the child continues to have recurrent symptoms till the age of 12-14 years, it is a reason to worry for the parents and the child needs serious medication for asthma," said S.K. Kabra, a senior paediatrician at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

He was delivering a public lecture on "Asthma among children" here at AIIMS.

According to AIIMS, about 120-150 children with asthma are seen every week at the paediatrics out-patient department (OPD).

Kabra said that in many of the cases the parents go for an allergy test after observing the symptoms of asthma in their children. However, it is to be understood that even the allergy test is not very effective and rather the pulmonary function test should be performed.

"Parents need to understand that if they are asthmatic, their children are also prone to suffer from asthma," added Kabra.

He also said that passive smoking, where the smoke of cigarettes, bidis and hookah is inhaled by the non-smoker, is a major cause of asthma.

"Dust present on carpets, wall hangings, air conditioners, mosquito sprays, perfumes, body deodorants and pollens should also be avoided by asthmatic children as they can be effective in prevention of exacerbation of asthma," Kabra said.

Bitter news to sweet chocolate lovers

The world could run of chocolate latest by at 2020, according to a newspaper report. One of the growing concerns for the world is that everyone enjoys chocolate. Since 2012, chocolate-lovers have been eating more chocolate than the production of cocoa in West Africa.

The biggest problem, according to the newspaper report, comes from a dwindling supply of cocoa. West Africa, which is the major producer of cocoa, has been suffering due to extreme dry weather and that means diminished crops.

So difficult is production of cocoa at present that farmers are growing other crops instead. This again means less cocoa is being produced.

Combined with several other factors consumers are paying higher prices for a bar of chocolate and it could also possibly mean that the taste of chocolate could change in the long term.

Agricultural researchers are developing a new variety of cocoa tree that yields more number of beans, but it;s expected taste could have a negative impact. Though more chocolate could be produced using this new tree, it may need more artificial taste ingredients to bring it as close to the original chocolate taste that people love today.

Food that boost Metabolism

The process of digesting the food to energy is termed as  metabolism.  In this process calories from food and drinks (like juice coffee etc) are combined with oxygen to release the energy body needs to function.

This energy is needed even when a person is resting in bed, for breathing, blood circulation, and brain function etc.

Metabolism and its speed depends on the size of the body sex and age of the person and several other factors like the food eaten and physical activity.

Diet and food that provide real balanced and healthy choices also help to speed up metabolism.  Low density foods vegetables and fruits and lean and natural protein are best choices.

A high metabolism does not support a big body, whereas a leaner body helps to burn food faster and provide energy to the body.

However metabolism can be maintained to burn more calories, by eating the right foods and maintaining a perfect exercise routine.

How to Boost Metabolism

1.  Physical Activity    Always rated as most important for a fast metabolism.  Simple exercises like walking swimming to aerobics all bring results and help speed up metabolism.

2.  A diet that is balanced in nutrition   Natural food works the best.  Fruits and vegetables along with healthy protein, nuts and seeds for snacks and etc will help boost the metabolism.

3.  Eat regularly  Portion sized meals through out the day produce a better and high metabolism by burning all sugars for better health and a slimmer body.

4.  Protein and nutritious food  Make sure to add protein and iron rich foods to the meals for a higher metabolism.

5.  Vegetables and fruits   Have six to eight servings of vegetables and fruits everyday for all the minerals and and necessary nutrition needed for health and a high metabolism.

6.  Vitamin D  Make sure to add lots of vitamin D products to the diet as it helps to boost the metabolism.  Exercise outdoor helps to achieve this goal too as direct sunshine also supplies vitamin D.

7  Green tea and Coffee  Green tea boosts metabolism.  Green tea is supposed to be slimming the mid section of the body too.

*8  These foods vegetables and fruits will also help to boost the metabolism, therefore make sue to have some from this list every day.

Almonds     Apples   Asparagus    Beans   Berries        Broccoli
Cabbage     carrots  celery       cinnamon     coffee     cucumber    curry powder      Eggs      garlic     grapefruit     green tea     lemons     limes   Oats  Oranges     Peanut butter     peppers (hot)       spinach

High milk intake may lead to early death ?!

Instead of strengthening your bones, drinking more than three glasses of milk a day may increase the risk of early death, a study has found.

This could be due to the high levels of lactose and galactose (types of sugar) in milk, that have been shown to increase oxidative stress and chronic inflammation in animal studies, the researchers said.

Doctors and nutritionists have long recommended a diet rich in milk for boosting calcium intake and lowering risk of fracture.

"Our results may question the validity of recommendations to consume high amounts of milk to prevent fragility fractures," said lead researher Karl MichaAlsson from Uppsala University in Sweden.

The researchers set out to examine whether high milk intake may increase oxidative stress, which, in turn, affects the risk of mortality and fracture.

Two large groups of 61,433 women (aged 39-74 years in 1987-1990) and 45,339 men (aged 45-79 years in 1997) in Sweden completed food frequency questionnaires for 96 common foods including milk, yoghurt and cheese.

Women were tracked for an average of 20 years, during which time 15,541 died and 17,252 had a fracture.

The researchers found no link between higher milk consumption and reduction in fracture risk in women.

Furthermore, women who drank more than three glasses of milk a day (average 680 ml) had a higher risk of death than women who drank less than one glass of milk a day (average 60 ml).

Men were tracked for an average of 11 years, during which time 10,112 died and 5,066 had a fracture.

Men also had a higher risk of death with higher milk consumption, although this was less pronounced than in women.

Further analysis showed a positive association between milk intake and biomarkers of oxidative stress and inflammation.

Have nuts, fruits to lower heart stroke risk

Eating diets rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, poultry and fish combined with physical activity and keeping your blood pressure under control can lower risk of a first-time stroke, research shows.

"We have a huge opportunity to improve how we prevent new strokes, because risk factors that can be changed or controlled - especially high blood pressure - account for 90 percent of strokes," said lead study author James Meschia from Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.

Making lifestyle changes such as getting more physical activity, eating a healthy diet and managing your weight can prevent pre-hypertension from becoming high blood pressure, the researchers suggested.

The researchers warned that smoking and taking oral birth control pills can significantly increase your stroke risk.

“If you are a woman who experiences migraines..., smoking raises your risk of stroke even more than in the general population,” the study noted.

Avoiding secondhand smoke also lowers stroke and heart attack risks.

"In many instances, stroke is not fatal, but it leads to years of physical, emotional and mental impairment that could be avoided," Meschia stressed

Proper breathing is key to body, mind control - II

This should be done preferably on an empty stomach. So reserve five minutes for this practice before breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. After you have practised for some weeks, start spending all your spare time in mindful breathing.

Suppose you are having to wait at traffic lights. Instead of ruing the delay, utilise the time for diaphragmatic breathing. As your practice increases, you will notice that you have started pumping your belly without even noticing.

Interestingly, many of those who lead a sedentary life tend to do exactly the opposite. They contract the belly when they breathe in and expand it when they breathe out. If you too are making that mistake, make a persistent effort to correct it because this kind of breathing is worse than not moving the belly at all.

Please note that you are not pumping air into the belly. It is going into the lungs only. It's just that when you expand the belly, the diaphragm is forced to move down and the lungs can take in more air.

You will soon find that your stress level has started going down. The air that you breathe, besides nourishing your body, has a vital force called 'Prana'. The more air you pump in, the more vitality you have.

There is an additional advantage. This pumping action strengthens your abdominal muscles and helps in reducing the waist size.

The yogic way of breathing which involves 'Kumbhaka' (making a big belly after a deep inhalation and holding the breath for a few seconds) and 'Rechaka' (expelling all air and holding for a few seconds while the belly has been pulled in) helps one increase the lung capacity to as much as six litres.

Proper breathing is key to body, mind control -I

Breathing is the most essential and frequent activity that we engage in from birth till death. Yet it is one of the most neglected aspects of our existence because we erroneously presume that it is entirely an involuntary function. The end result is that this giver of life has been ignored, leading to numerous unwanted consequences.

Our lungs have the capacity to take in about four litres of air in each breath. In olden times, we used to take this full quota when we were active throughout the day, first as hunter-gatherers and then as crop growers. The modern lifestyle has turned us into veritable couch potatoes that barely take half a litre of air per breath. That is only one-eighth of the requirement. Our diaphragm barely moves if we are sedentary, with the result that the lower part of our lungs hardly gets any oxygen.

shortfall of oxygen not only causes numerous aches and pains and diseases but also leads to negative emotions like anger, anxiety and stress.

You can also train yourself to take in more oxygen even when at rest. The technique is called yogic or diaphragmatic breathing.

Lie down or sit comfortably. When you start inhaling, fill your belly from the lowest part up so that by the time you have taken the full breath, your tummy is protruding as well as the chest. Hold for a few seconds and then start exhaling while at the same time contracting your belly.

Creating time - for growth

Highly skilled people get more done and, therefore, progress faster. People with lesser skills are work overtime to meet their basic targets.

Therefore, they don't have the time to spare for learning new skills. Sounds like a Catch-22 situation? Not quite! People with higher skills are usually those who mastered the art of creating time within their routines. This time is invested in learning or gaining more experience.

To create time, spend your first 10 minutes to plan your work day. Start your day early, deal with most important tasks first, convert critical tasks into a daily routine, set deadlines, do not multitask and lock yourself into 2-4-hour blocks for completing projects.

Stay away from distractions. Create a free space of 1-2 hours for thinking, training and investing into growth. If you fail to create time, you fail to grow.

Diwali The festival of lights

We are celebrating Diwali every year, with lights and crackers.
Children and elders enjoying this festival at equal happiness.
Till now I too think that what makes difference, if we celebrate with Diyas only not with loud sounds of crackers

While the night filled with lights we lit and resounds the surroundings with sounds of crackers, we feel it is very enjoyable.  But, the counter parts of our nature i.e. animals, birds, living plants etc., will feel the discomfort at a high level.

The birds  can't go and will be frighten with the sounds.
So I appeal every one. please celebrate the festival without sounds only with brightness.

Happy Diwali

Why we Doubt Goodness?

If someone does a good deed for you out of the blue or you do a good for someone, there is a high chance that the first thought to strike the mind is - "why is he doing this?"
Its human to doubt, and its perfectly human to doubt someone's goodness, because we are conditioned by the protective mindset that "everything happens for a reason".
As its human to doubt, its also human to trust. If you can create a balance between both, then its easier to get a control on any situation. But if you are on the extremes of anyone of them, then you will be sacrificing your peace of mind.

The Benefits of Sweet Talking

Sweet talking is a powerful psychological weapon.
You have to be careful on using it, else you can easily be confused for a yes-man or ass-kisser.
6 benefits of sweet talking.
1. Helps build a greater level of confidence and trust in others.
2. Gives you time to decide, as no one wants like pushing you away from the "sweet zone".
3. Your excuses carry much more weight.
4. Creates a psychological attraction which forces others to come back to you.
5. People value whatever help you have given and like to keep you "guilt free".
6. People want to help you, even without you asking for it.

1. slowness in doing work

4. beliefs - like
a. suspiciousness against some family member for doing black magic.
b. suspiciousness of someone or something wanting to hurt him.
c. feeling someone can read his mind
d. feeling someone or something is changingn his thought process.
5. hearing voice of peoples
